Have you ever decreased yourself to make others more comfortable with what they see in the mirror?

At times Ive dumbed myself down to make others feel smarter, pretended to see things differently than I really did, put a mask on my joy around grouchy ppl, played down my exterior & hard work, even forcing myself to ignore someone’s toxic behavior in favor of seeing their “potential”.

None of this has ever helped me or the ppl I was trying lift. In fact, it hurt all of us.

In an age where we have learned to handle other ppls feelings with kid gloves, I draw the line at being less than your best self in order for others to feel good. .
