Sometimes it’s good to get out of your environment and look at your surroundings. Places that you might not have considered before often invite new perspectives on life.
Walking up the roadside in St. Vincent allowed me interact with people in their environment, seeing their way of life which I would never have been able to do by staying where I was.
Try looking at life through the lens of another, from their experiences, their reality, their perspective. Lots of things to see and many lessons to learn from doing this.
We might not always agree with what we see, hear or experience but by doing these things we can gain a better understanding of the world around us and seek to make it a better place.
I met so many people just in passing on my walk up this very step road. I love saying a quick “hello” or “how are you today” to everyone I meet. One simple gesture can change the lives of many.
