One thing my dad taught me was that not all aspects, passions or pursuits in life need to be shared, explained or affirmed. There are things I can keep to myself because I am my own person regardless of any roles and responsibilities. I’m still my own being, whole and unique. The only approval truly needed is from the fire within my soul. This was perhaps the biggest gift my dad gave to me because it knows no end, it breathes new life, and continues to evolve and grow with me always.

Here’s a peek of some of my “other” passions. Maybe I’ll share more of them in this space but for now it’s part of the creative autonomy that I need. My dad understood this so very well. Photography was an extension of how he expressed himself yet very few people in his life knew to the extent of how much and how talented he was with it. He simply enjoyed it. And that was enough.
