first day of the third trimester - the beginning of the end of the beginning .

I can not believe how quickly the time has passed, though I think most of you parents would tell me that this is something I had better lean to embrace .
.
But among the spring blossoms and longer light-filled days of this past week or so I have found a sense of everyday mindfulness I have yet to experience before

.
everyday mindfulness is something I have cultivated and practiced each day for a good many years now. A conscious choice to remain (or at least try very hard to) remain present in my everyday doings, finding beauty and fulfillment there. It is something that began as part of my daily yoga practice & has grown into something all its own. a personal lens through which I view and experience the world around me and the life I have built around me

but these last days, weeks this mindfulness has heightened, each breeze, each new leaf, each sip of morning coffee, the first morning light. I can’t help but think what it would be like to see them anew, as if they were firsts each time and i keep thinking what it will be like to watch this child experience the world that way .
