Near #VirginiaBeach, the @usfws refuge protects habitat for migratory birds and the loggerhead sea turtle, and is a critical segment in the Atlantic Flyway. Back Bay includes a thin strip of barrier island coastline typical of the Atlantic and Gulf coasts, as well as a beach, dunes, woodlands and freshwater marshes.
