We asked members of our Guide & Athlete team to share some memories about being outside with their Moms’ for Mothers’ Day. The response was overwhelming. We are excited to share these stories of inspiration, achievement and Mom’s love all this week, this dispatch is from team kayaker, @benstookesberry : “My mom, Bette, has been my teacher, partner, and sometimes reluctant participant in adventure since I can remember. Growing up in Colorado, she took me down my first double black diamond ski run and I am pretty sure at the age of 7 I cried and yelled the whole way down. Now I get to return the favor and take my mom into new environments like this river trip last spring on the San Miguel near Telluride. Luckily she complains a lot less than I did!!!”
