Aligned with the Guggenheim's mission of bringing modern and abstract art to greater public awareness, his gift of more than 75 masterpieces expanded the historical range of the Guggenheim’s collection, and included works by Cézanne, Picasso, Matisse, Manet, Monet, Degas, Gauguin, and others.
