Intimacy in all the parts of my life . I looked up the word intimacy and it’s meaning doesn’t compare to how it feels for me .
Intimacy for me is the knowing and depth of relation ship with all the parts of my life.
It’s in the details .
It’s in the everything of everything .
It’s in the sitting at the table with my husband without the answers. It’s in the parking lot at school and knowing a mama needs warmth .
It’s seeing my children as they are -not how I want them to be .
It’s making room for all of life- the hard and the beautiful .
It lives inside of the friendships I’ve had for 25 years and in ones i made last month .
It’s trusting that the space between you and you and them and them is worthy and held with respect care and truth .
I only have intimate friendships i don’t know how to have it any other way ~ where there is intimacy there is depth ::
