The Ten Stages of My Kids at a Breakfast Buffet:
1) Oh my god there is so much food. Can we really get whatever we want? Is this some kind of trick??
2) All the bread! I want ALL THE BREAD!!!
3) Wait! There are muffins and doughnuts and chocolate croissants??? PUT BACK ALL THE BREAD!!!!!
4) Oh, there's an omelette station. Should I get eggs? HAHAHAHAHA. Nah.
5) Who the hell eats cold cuts and sliced cheese for breakfast??? And why are there so many capers???? YECH.
6) Look at my mom scooping yogurt and granola into a little bowl. So sad. Did she somehow not get the memo that she can eat anything she wants???
7) Hmmm...there's a pretty large fruit selection...I'm not interested but it's fun to try and pick up cantaloupe with the tongs and then drop it on the floor. 
8) There's a cereal bar! Those rainbow Cheerios look DELICIOUS. So tropical. I wish those were available at home, but mom says they are not. She knows everything and always tell me the truth.
9) HOLY CRAP!!!! THEY HAVE MADE TO ORDER PANCAKES AND WAFFLES!!! I WANT PANCAKES! NO, WAFFLES!!! NO, PANCAKES!! THIS IS THE HARDEST DECISION EVER!!!!! Okay. It's decided. I'm getting pancakes. Now for the toppings...I'm gonna spread on Nutella and then put rainbow sprinkles on top. Wait. That looks terrible. It should be a smiley face. Oh, I know!!!! A RAINBOW SPRINKLE SMILEY FACE USING NUTELLA TO GET IT TO STICK!!!!!! THIS. IS. GENIUS!!!!! 10) Mom. Can you do it?
