In the ’80s and ’90s, Daniel Day used @グッチ’s logo without permission to create coveted “knockups.” Now, @dapperdanharlem and the luxury brand have teamed up to create an appointment-only boutique. From the outside, the Harlem brownstone looks like any other building on the block. But pass through the red velvet curtains and you’ll find yourself among hip-hop greats, including LL Cool J, Salt-N-Pepa, Rakim and Eric B, the Fat Boys and Jay-Z. Gucci found and decorated the 3-story space in consultation with #DapperDan. The ground floor features the main showroom and fitting area, the second floor is reserved for “VIP” customers and the basement is for production.
