A fisherman from the southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu spends time mending his nets, while a month-long fishing ban takes place. More than a chance for stocks to recover, the ban is meant to provide an equal chance for fishermen with no engines to compete for limited resources with those who have mechanized trawlers.
