Staten Island ?The thing about spring is that “things are in flux,” said the photographer @anrizzy. On the first day of spring, he set out to capture the season’s arrival in the fashions of Staten Island. “The city starts getting more crowded, everything’s heating up, and summer hits before you get to enjoy spring.” It is, he said, “a mixed blessing.” Prudent residents of the island found someplace warm to curl up this week. But at least one ate — or tried to eat — this icy summer treat. ? This week, 5 photographers in New York set out to document spring’s arrival while on #nytassignment. The weather didn’t cooperate. But that just made the pictures better.
