Here we are. Barely three hours are left to 1397. I know this number sounds weird to most of you, but the Persian new year, starts with #Nowruz, the spring equinox. You might have seen me in the stories in the recent days growing this #sabzeh (lentil sprouts) and trying to fetch other parts of my tiny little “haft seen” (7 Ss) table. Well here it is. Pretty styled sabzeh, and real life haft seen table, present in every household that celebrates this ancient feast, topped with seven elements that start with S in Persian, symbolising, rebirth, love, abundance, wisdom, beauty and dawn.
I believe one of the best things about celebrating Norouz and the Persian new year is that you get a second chance at sticking to resolutions and goals for the new year, refining them and start afresh. Everyday. Every Spring! Wishing you great health and happiness. Sale no Mubarak!
