Just sheared the sheep! They are super curious about their own wool. Part of living on a small organic farm is learning about this stuff, so we are making the kids comb the wool and then we will have it spun. They will knit the yarn into sweaters, which for the rest of their lives will make them feel amazing gratitude every time they put on anything made out of wool, and it teaches them respect and compassion for animals. It is such a time-consuming process! Stuff like this is why I made the choice to leave Silicon Valley and move to a place where we can grow our own food and experience nature. It’s not always as convenient, but this kind of childhood experience is priceless. #sheep #wool #farming #kids #uglysweaters
