Lit by the glowing lights of nearby Ma’an as a storm rolls in, one of the last remaining residents inhabiting ancient caves carved by the Nabataean’s some 2000 years ago cooks dinner, aglow by the fire in the Umm al Beyar ruins, cave dwellers that live near the Snake Monument of the UNESCO heritage site known as Petra in Jordan.
