“Be the change you want to see in the world” ? Today I took part in a @sustainablecoastlineshawaii beach clean ? It was empowering and motivating yet heartbreaking ? We collected overwhelming amounts of ocean plastic from a single stretch of beach. Hundreds of metres of fishing rope, thousands of water bottles and countless micro plastics. It was piling up in mountains ? We NEED to come together to make this stop. Marine plastic is destroying our oceans and the creatures that live there. And the harsh reality? If the ocean dies, we die. We rely on it for every second breath we take ? The greatest threat to our planet is the belief that someone else is going to save it. We need to stop looking to others for solutions, instead let’s come together and BE the solution. As @chelseykorus says “we are the ones we have been waiting for” ??
