Having your comments setting on is a great attribute if you are interested in the study of a society of faceless, consequence-less, potpourri of reactions. That’s not to say everyone’s is full of it, but there is a disconnect, and reactions aren’t anything like what we would manifest if we gave ourselves a moment or more to digest, myself included, not to say how we would react face to face. I think this is part of the reason for our increase in mass violence. I’m not sure, but I’m suspicious. I’m pretty solid right now as a fifty year old guy, and even I get blown away at seeing it all, all the instantaneous vitriol and heartless brutalities. I can’t imagine someone who is vulnerable to taking it in without filtering it through the proper knowledge that it’s a reaction, and not truth, per se. This has become a psychological warfare. It’s unfair for everyone to see the world’s reaction to every post, every manifestation of moments of you. We are all roughly existential. We are all looking for our reason and worth.
