Photo by @JimRichardsonNG Going to Scotland this summer? Then Highland Games are probably on your list. After 25 years worth of travel there I’ve got some suggestions and favorites. Scenes of kilted Highlanders hurling hammers through the sky (like this one from the Glenfinnan Gathering) happen virtually every weekend from May through September. Some of the Games and Gatherings are huge affairs (Braemar, Atholl) but many are just happy, friendly community events where everybody is welcome (I like these.)
