the warm + brilliant sun will rise this am + the watercolor sunset will paint the sky this evening...In between that time is when you can create anything you want. I didn't know how to announce speaking at SXSW official this year, so here goes... my first official book reading will be @SXSW March 10th, please come + watch evolution & the future in real time.
We must recognize that we all evolve from who we were. Who we were 1-10 years ago, is not who we are today. Through trial and error here's how I've managed to monetize my speaking+ writing + ideas into a successful brand ?⚡️✨:
1️⃣I gave my brand: time, patience ++education.
2️⃣I ignored all the haters + all the men who made passes at me..with grace. ?? boy bye. All the people who talked behind my back. I know who they are ?.. ain't nobody got time for that.
3️⃣I have never liked rules, I don't follow them. I don't care to. Recognize branding + media has evolved! + get with it. Be open minded.
4️⃣I don't tell people how "busy" I am. Nobody gives af. I don't gossip + I stay away from people who do.
5️⃣I am myself. I'm not trying to be anyone else + I put my head down + create my own original content. I don't follow, I lead. I don't tell others how they should be living their lives. I support their dreams and passions + uplift with love!
6️⃣kindness & character is what I had to offer you, my readers + clients when I had nothing else to offer.
7️⃣respect that everyone is an amateur before they evolve into a professional. Also respect those of us who have been brick laying + pioneering our artistry for many years in the trenches.
8️⃣if you're going to create + launch something? Do it right, the first time + execute well. Produce don't talk.
9️⃣stop watching so much TV. I haven't owned one in 8 years, and don't care to. .
?just start. Write down your ideas. Get up early in the morning, before everyone else is up, watch the sunrise + get to work. Your dreams will never come to pass unless you work for them.
