Last night I was feeling stuck, heavy, overtired and unproductive. There's been a storm brewing on the coast for the last week. The sound of heavy rain drops pushed me out of the house and down to the ocean. I obeyed, running barefoot down to the sea, knowing I can always trust nature and the ocean, to pull me out of my rut, especially when I'm most resistant. When I got to the water the sky was a dark windy grey, silver danced across the surface but she still looked ominous and wild.
In my watery immersion of salt and sand, a rainbow started to spark, slowly stretching wide across the whole sky. A most juxtaposing beauty of stormy darkness with a vast gentle bow of colours.
Of course, I didn't have my phone with me to capture it. But I let it sting my heart and mind with its bliss.
Somehow nature, rainbows, have a way of shifting our lens, broadening our perspective. Making everything right again.
