Canadian Prime Minister @justinpjtrudeau apologized to members of the LGBTQ community on Nov. 28, 2017, for government actions against thousands of workers in the military and public service during the Cold War. From the 1950s to the early 90s, Trudeau said, the government employed a campaign of oppression against members and suspected members of the LGBTQ communities. He expressed shame and apologized, the Associated Press reports.
