Small drop, big caption. All of my Instagram photos posted before today were taken and edited on my phone. It was an arbitrary, self-imposed limitation, but I’m stubborn and I enjoyed the challenge and simplicity of the process. Not having to worry about complex gear taught me that composition and light go a very long way in making a good photo. But now, I think my iPhone-only rule is holding me back, so it’s time to break it. I recently revamped my website, so it seems like a logical time to try something new and have the ability to make higher quality prints of photos I post here. I’ll still post iPhone shots mixed in with photos from my big camera, and you probably won’t even notice the difference. Because, let’s be honest, most of you didn’t know or care that I was posting only phone photos to begin with ;) So, here’s to growing…and always remembering that you can do a lot with a little.
