AND THAT’S A WRAP! What an incredible experience this has been. Inspiring. Hard as hell. Heartbreakingly beautiful. Thank you #google for believing in me, and @straightupfilms for bringing us all together and trusting me to direct this film. I love creating with purpose, I love making things that matter, and inspiring young women to dream definitely matters! We’ve seen without fail that adding women to a male-dominated field has an overwhelmingly positive effect. The lack of women, and the lack of diversity in STEM is something we all need to pay more attention to. Girls you are smart, you are fierce and you are NEEDED in these positions! One thing we know to be true, if we don’t see it, we won’t dream it. We need to see more women as computer scientists and engineers so our little girls will want to become them. Thank you to our amazing crew for making magic happen. We all know you guys and gals are the true wizards! Austin Schmidt, my partner in crime and crazy talented DP, thank you for holding my hand through this. You made this whole experience so much more than I ever could have imagined and this is only the beginning. Lindsey Bledsoe thank you for adding color to my vision (literally), Adam Wagner my mentee and brilliant writer thank you for being such a great collaborator and for writing something so powerful. Derek and Bella young Tavi/Andy you guys are rockstars! And to Gina Rodriguez, Thomas Dekker and Rosario Dawson: THANK YOU for showing up and delivering! It takes a village and you three made it happen! Gina that heart of yours beats for the entire world, Rosario the energy you bring lights a fire inside all of us, and Thomas that soul you have makes us want to watch you forever. Thank you for caring about this as much as I do. All three of you said yes without hesitation and I’m eternally grateful. I love you guys.
