The job of a Production Designer is to make you believe the world you’re watching on screen, to take you there, to make you forget you’re watching but instead experiencing everything alongside those characters. With a story like this, that is even more important. Dad, you’re so damn good at what you do, and tonight was about reminding everyone to take a second to appreciate the work that so often goes unnoticed when it is truly that good.
This story is so powerful, so heartbreaking, so real, and deserves to be told with such specificity. You’re an artist, a storyteller, and we are so grateful, the audience is so grateful, and the families of the soldiers whose lives were lost are so grateful for storytellers like you. #TheLongRoadHome
