Our Fine Chinese Ceramics and Works of Art auction in London will present an exceptional selection of works spanning 3 millennia of Chinese material culture. Here, specialist Marco Almeida (@anweida1977) introduces a bronze ritual wine vessel dating from 12th century BC.

‘China mastered the art of bronze casting over 3,000 years ago. This superb example was cast with ferocious zoomorphic masks called 'taotie' and was most likely used to store wine or other liquids in ceremonies.’
