A tourist gets the once in a lifetime chance to pet a curious gray whale in San Ignacio Lagoon, Baja California. This is one of the few places in the world where whales seek out contact with people. A cultural trait passed down from mother to calf for over 40 years, it is the whales who initiate and controls these encounters.
