Photo by @migeophoto // Squashington Farm ( @squashingtonfarm ) is a small operation located just outside of Madison, Wisconsin. You might wonder what would bring two millennials back to the land. As they put it: "We literally reap what we sow. Our motivation yields bounty, while our short-comings equal loss. It is the definition of a learning process, and every year we learn more and more. We hope to always grow food for ourselves, our family, and our community." Squashington was started in 2016 and is focused on staying small, minimizing inputs, using natural additions (like animals) for nutrients, and generally working to better the local food economy. The two farmers work with 4 acres and a small number of chickens & pigs. They operate a CSA for 40 - 45 local residents and those who participate drive directly to the farm every week to pick up their fresh produce.
