As part of Magnum’s exploration of its own rich history in its 70th anniversary year, current Magnum photographers have revisited seminal stories for the new ‘Retold’ series.
Thomas Hoepker was passionate about exploring Sergio Larrain’s Valparaiso, and this year he visited it himself, tracing the spirit of Larrain through those same streets, searching for nightlife, street dogs and more signs of the location’s character that Larrain so deftly captured.
