Playboy founder Hugh Hefner has passed away at home in Los Angeles, aged 91.
In 1966, Burt Glinn visited the James Bond inspired Chicago Playboy Mansion on commission for The Saturday Evening Post. In 2016 Magnum spoke with Playboy's archivist Steve Martinez about the photo story and the historical context of Hefner's work. Here, Hefner is pictured working on an issue of Playboy, using the floor as a desk to plan the layout.
