When black-footed ferrets were first re-introduced back into Grasslands National Park in Canada in 2009, I traveled to the park to try to get photos of the endangered species. In the spring of 2010, I had a remarkable daylight encounter with this male. At one point, he jumped around frantically and purposefully in front of me in what I later learned was a 'weasel war dance', a behaviour used when a ferret gets excited and is playing. #ExploreCanada

Quand on a réintroduit le putois d’Amérique dans le parc national du Canada des Prairies, en 2009, je m’y suis rendu pour photographier cette espèce menacée. Au printemps 2010, j’ai fait en plein jour une rencontre remarquable avec ce mâle. À un certain moment, il s’est mis à sauter devant moi avec énergie et conviction. J’ai appris plus tard qu’il exécutait la « danse du guerrier », comportement qu’adopte l’animal quand il est enjoué et veut s’amuser. #ExploreSask
