Last month, an enormous salmon farm off Cypress Island in Washington State spilled tens of thousands of Atlantic salmon into Puget Sound. Luckily, Lummi Nation fishermen promptly took their boats to the site and cast their nets, seining hundreds of disoriented escapees, who could have otherwise threatened native king, silver, and chum salmon.
