savoring what is surely some of the last stone fruit of the season - I've had them ripening in a brown paper bag on the counter all week - carefully checking for that point of perfect ripeness & this morning before heading off into our day we stood in front of our big farm sink bare toes on the floor, still cool with the nights air, slicing off wedges of peaches - sweet and slightly sharp - I can think of no better breakfast - I'm not ashamed to admit that the bounty of this beautiful @myrthceramics bowl is nearly empty - but I'm hoping my trip out to the farm this afternoon will yield a replacement crop of tomatoes just as sweet and jewel toned as these peaches - I wait all year for these last weeks of bounty
