Balarama Heller began venturing into the Florida Everglades at night with the hope of photographing a Burmese python. When, even with the help of herpetologists and snake hunters, he couldn’t find one, he turned his lens on the local ecosystem instead. Repeated bouts of sleep deprivation and hallucinatory run-ins with the local fauna gave his photos the quality of an eerie dreamscape. Click the link in our bio to see more.
