A giant inflatable dubbed the "Trump Chicken" emerged behind the White House on Aug. 9, appearing in television live shots and photographs from the area. The 30-foot installation inspired by President Trump, set up on the Ellipse just south of the White House, was the handiwork of filmmaker Taran Singh Brar, who in an interview with USA Today called Trump a "weak and ineffective leader ... too afraid to release his tax returns, too afraid to stand up to Vladimir Putin and playing chicken with North Korea." Brar was reported to have been granted the required permits for the installation by the National Parks Service and Secret Service.
