"Everything is so organized in Germany," says Nour, a Syrian refugee whose young family is going through the asylum interview process. "You even have to separate your trash. You have to put the glass alone, clothes alone, food alone. Everything needs to be separated."⠀

Yousef and Nour, from Deir ez-Zor in eastern Syria, recently had their second asylum interview with German authorities. The family traveled to the western town of Bad Berleburg from Greece, where Rahaf was born more than nine months ago.⠀

Nour, photographed here with Rahaf by @lynseyaddario, wants to learn more of the German language. "I know that 'Danke schoen' is ‘thank you.' 'Wasser' is 'water,'" she says. "I’m told that it’s very hard to learn when you have a child but I still want to do it." ⠀

Head over to @findinghome, where @arynebaker, @francescatrianni and @lynseyaddario have been following the journey of three Syrian refugee babies and their families as they seek a new home in Europe, with thanks to @merckformothers and @pulitzercenter.⠀⠀
