Pacific islands are great places for chillin on beautiful beaches. But you can do some great hiking as well. This amazing hike, called the Mount Alava Adventure trail, was a lot harder than expected. But is was also a lot cooler than expected as well. The trail crosses from one side of the island of Tutuila to the other, by way of climbing the highest point on the island: Mount Alava. Along the way, you climb 56 sets of ladders to get to the top! Quite the workout. But you are rewarded with views like this, looking far down on the harbor of Pago Pago. Awesome hike!
