Most of the time, the objective is to lose weight, particularly fat, while looking lean and “fit” at the finish line. ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ In a spur of anticipation, potentially driven by ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 1️⃣societal expectations and or pressures2️⃣the masses of people boarding the ‘summer shreds’ train3️⃣ever so pressing ad campaigns that take longer than 5 seconds to skip4️⃣your personal goal/decision ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Something often forgotten and understated is this: ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⏳Achieving a lean physique takes time⌛️ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The time allotted for a dieting phase should consider many variables, and not simply the end result. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ If one was to speed up their dieting phase for the sake of quick-fix resolutions, you’ll be facing several hinderences. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ For example, you may suffer unnecessary metabolic damage by cutting your calories too quickly. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Your metabolism inevitably slows down when cutting out calories because your body is no longer adapted to eating a higher intake (and has no reason to work harder for what isn’t being inputted). Sure you may lose weight, but due to the drastic cut in energy, your metabolic rate suffers those extents.
