It was a starry summer night at the World Heritage Site of Geghard monastery in Armenia. The north star Polaris was right over the monument from this vantage point when a bright meteor appeared next to it. This church is being partially made like a hidden temple in a cave, carved out of the adjacent mountain, surrounded by magnificent towering cliffs. Geghard means "the Monastery of the Spear". The main chapel was built in 1215, but the monastery complex was founded in the 4th century around a sacred spring inside the cave. @babaktafreshi find more of the world at night photography.
