Every aerial photo I've ever shot has been from a small plane or heli. This photograph is from my first time flying a drone. The experience was much different than I expected. In many ways I felt really detached from what I was shooting. There wasn't that rush of adrenaline that came from sticking your body out of a moving plane & feeling your hands go numb. On the other hand there's this incredible feeling of artistry as you pilot & shoot at the same time. All your senses are engaged & there is no room for error or complacency. I learned quickly that both disciplines require unique skill sets which I am excited to learn more about.
The best way to stay inspired in what you are doing is to put yourself back in square one where you are a total newbie and feel the need to practice & learn.
