The USA Volleyball Girls' Junior National Championships is not the only volleyball event happening under the Minneapolis Convention Center roof. Playing alongside the 13,000 junior athletes are the U.S. Collegiate National Team-Minneapolis program, which has 35 athletes playing a round robin format from June 27-29 followed by the championship match on June 30. By combining the two events at the same time, younger athletes have the opportunity to watch elite athletes working to go deeper in the USA Volleyball High Performance pipeline. For the collegiate players, they have the chance to be a role model for the young athletes to look up to. Jena Annabi, who plays for Wolfpack 11s in the 12 National Division this week and had the chance to talk with Sherridan Atkinson of CNT White, said: "It was pretty amazing to watch them because you don't know if they will be in the Olympics one day, and you can look up to them.
