They say you can't teach height, but you can learn the sport of volleyball and get better no matter how tall you are. For @austinjuniors' Maci Currin, she is handling both tasks playing for Austin Juniors 14s in the #GJNC 14 National Division. She is 6-8 as an eighth grader, and says she has always been tall with an early growth spurt. But it hasn't always been easy as the tallest player on the court or in the playing facility for that matter. With her height, one of the toughest things she has had to learn to do is pass, but she wants to improve her blocking as her main goal as an opposite. "When I was played as a 1, I used to go up and miss the 1 as a middle blocker because the setter would set the ball too low for me." Those connections have improved as her teammates have gotten used to her height. Maci, who has played three of her four years with Austin Juniors, is playing in her first USA Volleyball Junior National Championships. AJV 14s finished with a 6-3 record, including a 5-0 record in the first round pool play. #humansofvb
