“It’s hard to separate whether someone is discriminating against me for my race or my sexuality, especially when I’m with my girlfriend, because she is a dark-skinned black woman,” Maliika Graham, 27, told @ニューヨーク・タイムズ. “When we’re together, people see 2 black women holding hands being affectionate. We get looks.” @ニューヨーク・タイムズ interviewed Maliika, photographed here by @amberbmahoney, and several people at the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center in Greenwich Village. We asked them what discrimination looks like, what HIV means to them and how the right for same-sex couples to marry has changed their views on marriage.
