Photo @pedromcbride // Land of the Dinosaurs: This ancient landscape where two rivers join — one wild, the Yampa (left), meets the Green which runs clearer and "green" due to the Flaming Gorge dam up stream. Their juxtaposition serve as a living ecology laboratory comparing two aquatic river systems. This entire region was once proposed to be flooded by the Echo Park Dam proposed in the 1950s. Due to the dedication and hard work of a few, the Echo Park dam which was proposed in the 1950s by the @bureau_of_reclamation was not built. The final congressional decision was decided by one vote.
