Roma, or Gypsy, family just arrived at a newly set up internal refugee camp in Kosovo Polie, as they faced the ethnic cleansing. I shot this image in 1999, but I want to show today, since today, June 20th, is Refugee Day, and since millions of refugees, or even more, if we count internal refugees, like this Gypsy family, are still enormously suffering. Human rights groups advocate it is a real political correct that the international community counts IDP, Internal Displaced Persons, as refugees. But it still cannot, due to the egoistic power politics. In addition this Gypsy mother seemed really out of mind but could barely feed her mother milk to the baby.
