Have you heard of #Dutch #Impressionism? Born in #Amsterdam, Willem Witsen (1860–1923) later became was one of the core members of the movement.

Unlike their French counterparts, the Amsterdam Impressionist members were more interested in representing #urban life than scenes of nature. Common subjects included #cityscapes, labourers at the docks or the lives of servants.
