"Did you have a good time in #Yosemite?" my dad asked. I thought of the two weeks sitting in the van while my friends were out climbing. I snacked too much and hangboarded too little. It's easy to dwell on the things we could have done... But the things I did will help in the long run too. I soaked my swollen ankle in the Merced and basked in the sunshine of El Cap meadow. I dreamt of future goals. I drew inspiration from my friends by listening to their stories and watching them climb.
