Sometimes, the best views are the ones behind you. This happens so much when I am taking pictures. I'll setup in a place for sunset where I am sure the light and scene is gonna produce a spectacular image, and before I know it I am fully shooting in a different direction. In this case, it was the La Sal mountains behind me that caught my attention while I was trying to get a shot of the crazy rock formations in the needles district of Canyonlands NP. It's a good reminder to never get too focused on one thing and be open to changing up your whole game plan at the last minute. Follow the light!
