Because feasts are always better when they're Italian. ???? (only a fraction of) the starters if our #Easter lunch, accompanied by different types of "pizza pasquale": oily bread doughs and cakes, some filled with cheese, some with salumi and hard boiled eggs. All from southern regions of Apulia & Campagna. Then, a crêpe lasagne with artichokes, asparagus and white ragù! Artichokes, Roman style galore. Then my “Bāghāli-Polo” or Persian Pilaf with fava beans and tons of dill (because I was sure that as for tradition, the host would've served lamb, but it was great as was). Dessert was —obviously— pastiera (wheatberry tart with ricotta, candied fruit & orange flower fragrance, plus fresh strawberries with lemon juice and many chocolate eggs. A "limited " Easter lunch, as our kind host called it, all facing the beautiful Villa Ada park. Hope you've had a great time with your loved ones too. ?✨?????
