Aligned with the Guggenheim's mission of bringing modern and abstract art to greater public awareness, renowned art dealer Justin K. Thannhauser donated select holdings from his art collection to the museum in 1963. The Thannhauser collection traces the history of modern art from its 19th-century Impressionist roots, and includes works by #Czanne, #Gauguin, #Manet, #Monet, #Pissarro, #Renoir, #VincentvanGogh, and #Vuillard.
