Trauma, fear. Anguish and misery. The scars inflicted upon the conscience, wrecks the mind for all our days to come. What we and our children bear witness, either in word or action, in our homes, neighborhoods or across our planet, rips open a crevasse of harrowing depth. The deeds of war bore deeper, shattering our bodies, our minds. Our souls. The earth doesn't need us. We are insignificant. The significance of what conflict, anger, war and rage does to us, lasts a lifetime. Repeating. Repeating. Repeating. Repeating. Until we stop the atrocities, we will never know peace. The earth doesn't need us.
